Woman injured in one-vehicle crash on Route 9 in Galloway
A one-car crash closed a portion of Route 9 in Galloway Township for about an hour Friday. Police were called to the area of Route 9 and Leeds Point Road at about 2:50 p.m. for the report of a car crash and a downed utility pole, police said. An investigation found that Cynthia Verderber was traveling south on Route 9 when her 2011 Dodge Durango left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The SUV then continued off the road into a wooded area, where it struck a tree. Verderber, 42, of Galloway, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s Mainland Campus for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
