Today we close the door on the Spring of 2020 as summer officially arrives on Saturday at 5:44 pm. And right on cue a pretty typical summertime pattern of haze, heat and humidity has arrived, along with the occasional shower or thunderstorm. Much like Thursday and Friday, we will see more of the same over the weekend. Expect a mixture of clouds and sunshine both Saturday and Father's Day on Sunday, plenty of humidity, and don't be surprised if you get caught in a drenching shower or thunderstorm. Saturday looks like a better shot at those storms, and inland areas will see more showers and storms then coastal areas will.
This unsettled pattern continues for much of next week, but we will add some more heat into the mix. Look for afternoon highs to flirt with 90 degrees, and with plenty of humidity it will feel very uncomfortable. Sounds like a beach or pool week to me! Have a great weekend and Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!
