EHT man wanted on 10 warrants allegedly fled Atlantic City car stop
Updated: Mar 19
A car stop in Atlantic City led to drugs and the arrest of three men — including one with 10 active warrants, police said. Officers Christopher Dodson and Eric Evans stopped driver Jonah Adams at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday at Indiana and Hummock avenues, when his passenger ran, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. Shaheem Vance-Milbourne, 27, of Egg Harbor Township, was caught by responding officers after a brief chase, according to the report. He was found with 182 bags of heroin, five additional grams of heroin and 16 prescription pills. Vance-Milbourne also had several warrants out of various Atlantic County police departments, including fleeing another Atlantic City motor vehicle stop Aug. 22, Fair said. But that wasn’t the first time he fled police, records show. When he was 18, he fled Absecon police after he and two others were stopped in a stolen car. He also was put on the casino exclusion list in 2011, after an arrest inside an Atlantic City casino. Adams, 21, of Little Egg Harbor, and another passenger, Zahir Milbourne, were arrested after police found 38 grams of marijuana, five prescription pills and a bag of heroin, according to the report. Milbourne, 20, also of Little Egg Harbor, was also found with more than four grams of cocaine, Fair said. Vance-Milbourne was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Adams and Milbourne were released on summonses.
