Atlantic County sheriff promotes two

Two Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office employees started off the year with promotions.

Detective Jacob Feinberg was promoted to sergeant last week, Atlantic County Sheriff Eric Scheffler said.

Feinberg, 34, began his career as a corrections officer in 2009, and transferred to the Sheriff’s Office in 2011.

He worked for the Operations Division for three years, before moving to the Warrants Division as a detective. There, he was responsible for locating and apprehending those who failed to appear in Superior Court on indictable charges.

He lives in Egg Harbor Township with his wife.

Israel Palow was promoted Monday from communications supervisor to chief telecommunicator, Scheffler said.

Palow, 41, was hired by the office in 2002, as a telecommunicator trainee. He work his way up to full-time, and became supervisor in 2011.

Chief Palow lives in Absecon with his wife and four children.

“They give a 100 percent every day they come to work and are dedicated to providing the best possible service to our county and the citizens we serve,” Scheffler said.
